AT CAL SPARKS WE ARE RECOMMITTING TO A FOCUS ON BUILDING FUNDAMENTALS AT AN EARLY AGE.
Building a foundation is key and we are starting from the beginning. Continuing in Fall 2025, we will be re-launching our Cal Sparks Academy as well as one youth girls 8th grade team under Nike Junior EYBL.
Before teaching plays, we are getting back to our roots and embracing Nike's initiative to teach good habits first. We will have an elite level focus on instilling only the best of habits early. Rather than a focus on wins, we are focusing on doing things right.

Here at Cal Sparks we know we are doing more than just building strong athletes, we are empowering young women that will be future leaders.
We are excited to announce a revolutionary approach to training young basketball players. We are refocusing our attention on teaching fundamentals first and foremost. Academy practices will be three times a week (with two mandatory requirements) and will include competitive drills and in house academy scrimmages to allow for real time instruction. By committing to cementing good habits early we are shaping the future of women’s basketball, one young athlete at a time.

We are thrilled to announce a one of a kind youth basketball summit offer to youth hoopers dedicated to inspiring their basketball dreams by giving them exclusive access to the leaders in the game. By offering this exclusive opportunity, we hope to spark even the biggest of dreams for young athletes reminding them that with hard work and dedication, that the sky is the limit! Although our primary mission will be to comprehensively train youth girls basketball players, we are equally excited to announce our returning 8th Grade Girls Junior EYBL team. The team will consist of all active academy players to ensure fundamentals are still in the forefront but it will be an earned opportunity to travel and play against top tier 8th grade Nike Jr. EYBL teams from around the country. Since our program will only have one active travel team, slots will be invite only after enrollment in the academy.
